DESCRIPTION OF THE INN
After gold was discovered in 1850, Columbia quickly boomed with over 5,000 searching for the one gold windfall that would make him/her rich. With this overnight rush came the building of Columbia which grew quickly to 150 saloons, shops and other businesses all for the gold panning dreamers. Columbia still retains much of the character of that era with stagecoach rides, gold panning, shops, and museums that make Colombia "..one of the best preserved towns in all of California's Mother Lode".

This handsome Columbia Victorian became the County's newest bed and breakfast in early 1992 after a complete renovation by owner Samantha O'Brien. The two-story gem, considered one of Columbia's finest homes at the turn of the century, sits on the hill across from the old school house and overlooks historic Columbia. Nicely appointed rooms feature a mixture of Victorian and American antiques all with queen beds, private baths and don't' forget you do get a full breakfast.

Your Innkeeper is Samantha O'Brien.
